However, challenges such as the high cost of hydrogen production, storage, and transportation and the need for specialised infrastructure hinder its competitiveness against conventional firming sources like natural gas. Striking a balance between these advantages and obstacles is crucial as hydrogen strives to carve its niche in the evolving energy landscape, aligning with global efforts to reduce carbon emissions and transition toward sustainable power generation.
